The National Police Commission conducts two sets of police examinations twice a year, one for those who are already in the police service (promotional), and another for those aspiring to enter the Philippine National Police (PNP entrance).

Applicants shall utilize the On-Line Exam Application Scheduling System (OLEASS) to request the Regional Office for their schedule on the filing of examination application. Applicants will personally appear at the NAPOLCOM Regional Office on the date assigned to them, with their printed on-line Confirmation Letter, filled-out Application Form and other required documents, for further evaluation. 





The NAPOLCOM Computer-Assisted Examination (CAEx) for the PNP Entrance Examination is open to all Filipino citizens who meet the age and educational requirements, as well as to Patrolman/Patrolwoman whose appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility.




The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) resumed the conduct of the Computer-Assisted Examination (CAEx) at the NAPOLCOM Central Office for applicants who are scheduled to take the exam on November 4, 5, 8, 9, 11 and 12, 2021.

For the October  2021 cancelled CAEx, the new schedule will be posted in January 2022.


To observe minimum health standards, examinees must present any of the following:


  1. Medical Certificate issued by a Licensed Private Physician or Government Physician from the Barangay/Municipal/City/Provincial Health Office, or any other government health monitoring center/office, clearly stating that examinee did not exhibit any signs or symptoms related to COVID-19 infection, such as fever, cough, colds, shortness of breath or difficulty of breathing, chills, body aches, sore throat, headache, diarrhea, rashes, or loss of sense of taste or smell, at the time of the examination. It must also be stated in the Medical Certificate that examinee is asymptomatic for the past fourteen (14) days and not included in the list of SUSPECT (PUI), PROBABLE (PUM) or CONFIRMED (COVID-19) patients. Said Medical Certificate must be issued within 72 hours before the examination day. In the event that an examinee acquired COVID-19 in the past, he/she must present addititonal Medical Certificate stating that he/she has already recovered from the disease, together with a Community Quarantine Certificate indicating that he/she has completed the fourteen (14) days quarantine.
  2. Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) with negative result, issued by any government or government-accredited testing center, within 72 hours before the examination day.


Additionally, examinees are reminded to present the following documents to the Examination Application Processor from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m (processing time) at the Examining Division One-Stop Shop, Ground Floor, DILG-NAPOLCOM Center, EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, Quezon City during their scheduled appointment/examination date:


  1. The emailed confirmation slip together with the filled-out application form and index card;
  2. Two (2) recent, identical and color 1”x1” ID pictures with white background and complete name tag;
  3. One (1) legal size window envelope;
  4. Authenticated Transcript of Scholastic Record with Special Order issued by CHED;
  5. College/University Diploma;
  6. Birth Certificate in security paper issued by the PSA;
  7. One (1) Government-issued ID with signature (strictly “No I.D., No Processing); and
  8. Examination fee of Php 600.00.
